...then, russian D4 engine tank, sprocket, exhaust and controls (from end of 50's), engine from newer genaratinon D6 (with biger magneto) from 70's. (45cc 2t with rotaryvalve inlet, 1,2hp/4500rpm)
Cranks replaced with soviet lightmopeds carnks from 60's for better clearance from engine.

In soviet area D-series (d4, d5, d6, d8) was onlyest bicycle- and lightmoped engines (In 50's was some frictiondrive german engine knockoff "Irtõsh" too).

Started in 1956/57 with d4, 1961 d5, 1971 d6 and middle on 80's d8. D4/5 with small magneto, D6/8 with biger magneto and with poweroutput for lights too.
Produced near Leningrad (st. Petersburg) in KO (Krasnõi Oktjabr)factory.
Produced approx 15 000 000 engines.

I think, in my life i haved and used ~30-50 of them. First kit I got in end of 70's, if I was a kid and put it on my 24" wheeled Ereliukas bicycle.

First generation, sandcast mold engine d4 from 1957

Chainese 2t engine kit is some knockoff from D5, only rotaryvalve changed with inlet from cylinder and ignition is electronic.

Love the front friction brake. Does the D4 have good torque with the rotary valve intake? I once had a little Kawasaki with a rotary valve intake.
