Picked up some 1998 or so GT Harley Davidson Custom Sport parts off eBay before they got expensive. In the boredom of staying COVID free I’ve started putting things together.
Nice fork. What is the model?
Hydracoil! That's a good one, used a coil spring and oil damping. As long as the seals still hold oil, that thing will take waaaay more than you will dish out on that bike.1999 Judy XLC Rock Shox 26", hoping after 21 years in a box it still has some life.
I like the blue walls better .
Be very careful clamping anything on to that frame! They are thin aluminum and crush easily!!!Might get a mid drive e-motor down the road.
I did the same thing. It looks neat and tidy but when you are on a group ride and you get a flat it’s a lot harder to get the wheel off than it is when it just slides out. What I did when I got a flat was to leave the wheel on the bike, remove the bead on one side, find the leak and patch it. A few guys stayed around to watch.I’ve been tinkering some more. I added a chain. I then fabricated a torque arm bracket to stabilize the Sturmey Archer drum brake arm. I decided not to use a clamp on shock leg.
