I know it's not as good as my 65 Schwinn in comparison but the guy I traded my 65 Schwinn to is a guy that doesn't have a place & his bike doesn't shift that also didn't have a tube in it which I didn't have a tube yet to put in it so I took the bike & he has mine so now I have a tube in it but I need to get the cables for it.

My 65 Schwinn.

Whatever this was for since the cables were in it right.

I think he got it in the trash since it was trash day, it must have been trashed since the person that had it couldn't get it to shift.

Yeah I know stupid but at least until I get this one fixed when he ever comes back.

He is homeless by the way and was doing some whole thing including praying then got on his knee & so orth so I didn't know what was going on.

I know a 65 is way better than an 88 but I have never had anything like that happen before & I was nervous at what he was doing just to be able to have a bike that was safer than what he had, it needed a tube & the cable were bad on a setting that was too hard for hime to ride it.

I'd say it depends on your priorities. From a strictly functional perspective, I'd have to say the newer bike, while not as cool, is faster, easier to climb with, and probably tracks better. :|
