I really like the springer forks on this bike. Definitely has the old board track look.

Back at it! I had some back issues that kept me out of the garage. Feeling better now. I chose to use the black fork pictured but patina painted it to match the frame.

Next I installed the truss rods and wheels.

Found some bars and an SR drop stem.

Removed the black paint from the stem, and installed the brick red grips.

Getting close to being done! I need a new chain and a few small odds and ends.

Welcome back from the dead!

Glad to be back! Since I needed to buy a chain, and my chain breaker broke, I dropped the bike at my LBS on my lunch break to buy a chain and get it installed. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

And the final piece of the puzzle.

I had this for last year's build off but didn't finish it. It was blue with yellow lettering, which is what California used in the 70's. The yellow with black lettering is from the 1950's and I felt it was more fitting with the style of the bike. Finding the correct yellow was a bit of trouble but Google came to the rescue!
