Schwinn Windwood steering stem

Hi guys, new here. Have a quick question. I have a Schwinn Windwood I bought about a year ago at a yard sale. It had a busted steering stem on it, looks like someone tried to pry the bar clamp open to fit some wider bars and they took it a little too far. I finally want to fix the bike and ride it, but I don't know what size steering stem to get. Is there a standard size that comes on the newer model bikes? Plus I need handle bars too, they were missing as well. Thanks for any info you guys can give me.
