Does anyone have any clarity for me on why my 1956 Schwinn Corvette 3 speed has a head badge with the BF Goodrich moniker at the bottom, seen them before mostly on other models and usually black with white lettering, this one is white with chrome letters. Any Info ??

BF Goodrich had there own dealers they bought bikes from schwinn and sold them under the bf goodrich name, from the ads ive seen they were usually a hair cheaper and I don't think they were guaranteed like a schwinn dealer would. Sometimes there were little details that were different but pretty close to identical on the majority of them. my 55 bfg black phantom had a bfg chainguard decal put on right over the schwinn AS decal. The tank had a little more paint detail too. Just my observations
