A few years ago I bought a Murray Fire Cat locally...mostly because it had Huffy rims and tires on it :D My wife saw it and said she liked it, and wanted me to restore it for her to ride at swap meets and stuff.

I started restoring it in November last year. I knew I wouldn't finish before the MBBO so I didn't enter and just kept working on it. Welp, I finished today. She is REALLY happy with how it turned out!

Thanks guys! I am super happy with the way it turned out.

I thought I had a before picture or two from when I bought it but couldn't find them. I emailed the guy I bought it from and he said he would look for some he had. He's a Caber and keeps his old pics.

The bike has all original parts with the exception of the kickstand. I couldn't find a good original replacement. This one is the same look, but the stand is thinner.

Lot's of NOS parts went on her and a perfect recover of the original seat pan by my friend Joe. He can pretty much make any banana seat look brand new.

Beautiful job, what a great restoration! Apparently you have a pretty cool wife also.

He just did it one off for me, he sells only on eBay otherwise. He has a 9-5 and doesn't have time to do a lot of them so he just sells on eBay.

Super ridiculous attention to details there buddy. Love it. Beautiful job. :41::41: She's a lucky gal.

Did Joe paint that cover too? Seat looks amazing.

I was wondering about the seat myself, that's definitely not an off the shelf pattern. But man it (and the whole bike) looks darn good.

Outstanding work on a great looking bike! How old is it?
