1976 coppertone stingray junior repainted in coppertone. Has a schwinn s7 with westwind up front and another style rim in rear with kenda flame whitewall tire. New pyramid white seat. For the Schwinn purists out there-Yes in know it is not an original color , etc., etc. My kids wanted a coppertone bike they could ride without me having a heart attack! I
My February 1966 Stingray Deluxe 3 spd. Bought at a local estate sale. Was originally violet and the original owner rode it for a couple years then repainted it Violet and ruined the paint. Been sitting in his basement since 1968. Before.
After granny smith green powdercoat, respoked wheels, pete seat recover and lot's of polishing and reassembly. I build my bikes to my taste and to ride - my apologies to the purists!
The Mustang Stingray. My kids are big Ford fans (I work for Ford) and came up with this idea. We built it as if it was a giveaway for the 1964 Indy 500 race - the year the Mustang premiered and paced Indy. I am working on getting an original indy 500 souvenir flag to replace the checkered flag on this one. Originally a Stingray jr. frame powdercoated white. Grimeca drum brake on the rear with a taillight resembling the 1964 Mustang taillight that is actuated when you hit the brake. Kids love it!
The infamous Bratz bikes
Turned into these for my two older boys.
Finally Ben's Lemon Peeler. Started out as a Pixie 2. Ben loves yellow and wanted a Lemon Peeler when he saw one online.
