I ran across this Schwinn over the weekend. I think it's a 1952 or 53 but not sure.
Serial number B14244 on left side drop-down and it has a winged Schwinn head-badge.
It's been repainted so I sanded a few spots down and found green underneath.....its' also a coaster brake bike.
It also had 24" rims on it that were bent up and basically shot - I saved the hubs.
Front was marked Schwinn and the rear is a New Departure Model D although I'm not sure if they were original to the bike or not.

Can somebody help with year and possibly even what model it may have been.
I was thinking maybe a World or Collegiate?

Yeah it looks like you found one of those dates that double over eachother within a year or two. Dates both at '52 and '53 like you probably found out. At this time in the Schwinn lightweight history and with that headbadge, this would have been a Traveler.

Thanks...........I'm thinking about something like that. Maybe white with leather / brownish seat and handlebar wraps. Just staring to come up with ideas.
