Ever had a bulged tire before?

Inflated and installed the front wheel on my Fair Lady and noticed the tire was... wonky. Looked more closely and found a bulge. The rubber is actually stretched. Now I've got to find another one. :banghead:

Is it near the valve stem? I've had where the stem doesn't sit perfectly straight in the rim hole and the tube bunches a little and causes a bulge.

It is, but this isn't that. If you notice from the tread, the tire's cords actually let go. I guess it's an age thing. It was a Taiwan Schwinn tire, so that may have had something to do with it.

You may have a tube buldge ( Bunched up ) streaching the tire out . Maybe its larger tube in a smaller tire . Id still consider trying another tube just for the heck of it . Good luck.

The cords burst last night. The tire broke open, so I need to get a replacement.

Man that's a bummer. S7s are such a pain to get tires for. Sometimes the local Schwinn shop will have some.
