I was cleaning the garage this afternoon and found 6 inches of chain laying on the floor. Remembered see bottle opener made from bike parts before,so I also scrounge up a rear sprocket of a MTB. Cut a section out of the sprocket (26tooth), drilled two holes and attached said chain. (Use some shims-either rollers or plates from the chain as spacers.)

I did this as my wife actually cleaned the garage.

cool that you had that idea

they are sold in some bike shop... did you know it?

yeh i have seen them before but never bought one. They are fun to make, once I started I couldn't stop. All ready gave 2 away and made 3 more to do the same.

I once wrote a DIY article for a MTB magazine teaching how to build one of those.
