We had an Ice Storm last year(first in 20 years). I rode my bike and was faster than the cars. I have studded tires on my bike. The studs help keep is predictable, but it was stilll slick.

nice cman
we had a snowstorm here not too bad but a few inches merely over a dusting.
but, for whatever reason they don't like to plow my street so i became a kid again and took my genesis out on the road.
i actually did quite well didn't slide at all.
i was surprised that stock tires gripped so well in snow and slick spots.
but hey what fun is not sliding lol that's all part of the whole riding in snow/ice experience lol.
good ol nebraska winters although it's mild this year

Denton is just north of Dallas, and we got it hard. I work for the University of North Texas and today was my first day of work since last Thursday due to the weather. I have to be in at 6:00 am, and commute 6 miles on a 75 year old Hawthorne, this morning I partook in a new sport I call bikesledding. In anticipation I switched over to knobby tires, which did no good because the streets were a solid sheet of ice. It woke me up, that's for sure.
