Cool bike not sure what it is?!?!

A guy I know has this bike he just acquired and not sure what it is or how old it is :? I am sure that someone on here would probably know just from the distinctive tank with the louvers and the beehive type springer. obviously skip tooth with new departure hubs. A really cool bike, rusty but seems really solid. Thanks!

Cool find , great rust That's a Snyder built bike . Around 1949 - 51 , I'd say . Possibly a Hawthorne , but probably badged as Rollfast with that chainring .

I see in some pictures the chainring as rollfast now but I can't see any tanks like this... I thought maybe pre-war too :?

here is a pic of a bike a friend of mine got a while back . It is badged Hawthorne , and has Hawthorne chainring . Internet searches brought like examples , all claiming to be 49-51 . With your guaurd & sprocket , I'd say Rollfast

Well it's probably Rollfast then... the old guy he got it from said it was a Rolls Royce and that's kinda close to Rollfast :lol:
