I've been trying to find what model my Columbia is. It looks just like this bike, I just have a frame. This is the only pic I could find with the same frame, top tubes close together.

I know the Newsboy Special used that frame so try searching that. It's a really neat frame, reminds me of the prewar Shelby Cadillac frames which is one of my favorite looking bicycles.

It's a 50s or 60s bike, the first digit of the serial is a letter that ID's the year. 1955 started a new series with A5000, though they skipped D,F,G,I,J,M,O,P,Q, moving to R in '66. -Adam

Thanks, it's a newsboy special, I found a ton of photos after searching for it by name. Now I'm trying to find the serial number. A couple of websites say it's on the BB or left dropout, but this frame just has blue paint at those spots. Is there another place Columbia's had their serial number?
