Just wondering if anyone puts a clear coat over a flat black paint job. I have a frame I have rattled can flat black (not primer) and am wondering if I clear coat it will it be a glossy finish?

if you use a satin or matte finish it wil not be glossy, however it will have a little shine to it. matte finish would be the dullist, satin a little more shiney, then gloss would be the shinest. hope that helps.

yes it should work pretty good, use several coats. i would test it out on something else first to make sure its the look u are going for :)

I used Matte finish on my last bike. It works pretty good and you still maintain the flat look. Just remember no spray can paint job will resist nicks or scratches as well as the old baked on enamels.
