3rd Annual Philly New Years Day Ride pics and video

Well, every year I start the new year with a ride, and this will be no exception.

Starting at noon from The Liberty Bell we'll head to Finnegan's Wake, The National Tap and Barcade. Ride length subject to weather restrictions, but figure on a nice easy ride, even if it's cold. (snow means no go, however) As soon as I figure out how, I'll post in up on my facebook page.

I'd recommend taking the train in if you can. Parking in Philly is gonna be tight, what with the Mummers and all. Last check of the weather says clear but cold, so dress warm! Those that want to take Patco in can meet up at the Ashland Station (that's the one near Spins house) at about 11.Bring a lock, and a helmet is advised. Philly has some mean streets and those trolley rails are unforgiving. (Don't ask how I know... :shock: ) If you need a bike, let me know. I'd be glad to lend you one, as I still have 1 or 2 (or 11!) extra!

I checked with the weather channel...almost 40 degrees and cloudy so as of now, it's a go!

Well it was my buddy, Rich and I on the ride and we learned 2 things...Barcade is closed on New Year's Day and never try to cross Broad Street close to City Hall on January 1st. Mummer's Day is Philly's answer to St. Paddy's Day. :shock:
