Picked up this Murray Comet VII this weekend down in Indiana.
In the process of cleaning off rust I removed the front wheel and was surprised the front fender was not attached to the fork, (and on backwards) and was only attached to the wheel axle. Looks like something is missing from the fork bottom. Fender has a screw but nothing to screw into.
Maybe some fabrication is needed? Can't imagine I will come across the missing piece.
