This is a finished 59 schwinn tornado I refurbished being shown with my charming friend Annie. It's just more natural to pair one beautiful object with a beautiful person and I feel the photos reflect that. Wouldn't you agree?

Re: 59 schwinn tornado "Red" Yup its nice when things come together so effortlessly. The horn on the other hand wasn't as easy. After tearing apart the buttom and installing a new D cell I am happy to report that the original horn works! 8)

Yeah I didn't notice that till now but that maybe your problem as well. Hopefully it is because its a super easy fix.

I fixed the issue with my nexus 3 speed coaster. I had installed an aftermarket bike rack (the kind that has the struts slide onto the rear axle.) That small extra distance (the thickness of the strut) threw everything out of whack. So I removed the struts and anchored them to the holes where...

Yeah I came across that as well. One of the main body pieces is broken at the headset and the other body pieces aren't cut or cleaned whatsoever. Still a tempting treat though!

This could be whats wrong with my hub. I tried switching back the gear on mine to no avail. How do you know what the axle spacing is suppose to be??

I have a very similar problem going on with a modern nexus 3 speed. Same bell shifter and everything. mine was working fine till I changed a flat tube. I also changed the gear from the one that came with the hub to the original single speed gear. Now its slipping out of 2nd while Im riding...

While you can get away with using a 15mm for most pedals theres nothing like having a pedal wrench at your disposal. Makes putting on pedals quick and fun! Mines really long so I don't have the problem of my knuckles getting cut up on the crank gear.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm located in Kalamazoo, MI. Its a good location cause I'm equal distances from all the major cities in my area (Which is cool cause it always seems that the nice bikes I buy aren't in Kalamazoo.) Plus we have tons of bike trails!
