If you go roof top just be extra careful putting the bikes up there after a ride. I've seen a lot of damage to both bikes and cars as a tired rider tries to left a bike above their head to get it on the rack. I've had both. Right now I use a Saris Bones as it fits well on both my Scion Xb and...

Schwallbe makes an all white tire in 26 X 1 3/8. Might look good on there. Tuned up and adjusted that SA hub ought to work for years more.

Too true. Luckily I didn't lose any albums when it self destructed. I was a huge mess...5 ft by 5 ft of albums and cheap Swedish "cardwood" everywhere. Took me 20 minutes to dig out enough to get into the room. Good times.

Love me the vinyl. Pretty much all I listen to these days. Either vinyl itself or rips I make and put on the iPod. I use this great piece of software to clean up my digitized vinyl. Use it in reverse and it does wonders. Mono records come out REALLY good sounding. Not that I mind a few pops...

While they make great city bikes I'd say you're probably looking at $50-75 for the frame and fork. Complete Technium bikes often go for $125 -150. Unfortunately anyone looking for a lugged MTB is gonna be looking for a steel one.

The Technium bikes aren't normal lugged frames. They're aluminum tubes bonded to steel lugs with some kind of aircraft adhesive. Very, very strong bonds. We sold 'em at the shop I worked at. I saw a couple of cracked frames...never at the lugs tho. the tubes would break first. Decent bikes...
