    Made in Nottingham

Finally finished up...well, made perfectly rideable....my wife's 1967 Robin Hood 3 speed. And got a new tire on my 1972 Triumph. The Robin Hood came from a garage sale a few years back absolutely covered in what seemed to be motor oil and dust. The Triumph was my Dad's. My first memory of a...

wrapping the bars of a road bike

You have the option of using those behind the levers. I personally never use 'em. Here's a really good tutorial. http://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=71 Go slow and don't be surprised if it takes a few tries.

Help with an old Bianchi Sport

That Campy derailer ought to give you some idea of age. I'm guessing more late '50's to early '60's. Not going to be earlier then '51. Here's a good link with some pictures to compare. http://www.campyonly.com/history/campy_timeline.html This might help also...

    "vintage" Brooks saddle

I'd say "bed of nails" is being generous. Don't pay much more then $10. Lot's of folks would give you one for free.

Which Bike Rack is Right for me?

If you go roof top just be extra careful putting the bikes up there after a ride. I've seen a lot of damage to both bikes and cars as a tired rider tries to left a bike above their head to get it on the rack. I've had both. Right now I use a Saris Bones as it fits well on both my Scion Xb and...

Modern frame cruiser with old skinnies

Schwallbe makes an all white tire in 26 X 1 3/8. Might look good on there. Tuned up and adjusted that SA hub ought to work for years more.

    FINALLY LISTENING TO SOME VINYL!!!

Too true. Luckily I didn't lose any albums when it self destructed. I was a huge mess...5 ft by 5 ft of albums and cheap Swedish "cardwood" everywhere. Took me 20 minutes to dig out enough to get into the room. Good times.

    FINALLY LISTENING TO SOME VINYL!!!

Love me the vinyl. Pretty much all I listen to these days. Either vinyl itself or rips I make and put on the iPod. I use this great piece of software to clean up my digitized vinyl. Use it in reverse and it does wonders. Mono records come out REALLY good sounding. Not that I mind a few pops...

    Raleigh Technium Lugged MTB

While they make great city bikes I'd say you're probably looking at $50-75 for the frame and fork. Complete Technium bikes often go for $125 -150. Unfortunately anyone looking for a lugged MTB is gonna be looking for a steel one.

    Raleigh Technium Lugged MTB

The Technium bikes aren't normal lugged frames. They're aluminum tubes bonded to steel lugs with some kind of aircraft adhesive. Very, very strong bonds. We sold 'em at the shop I worked at. I saw a couple of cracked frames...never at the lugs tho. the tubes would break first. Decent bikes...

    Old Timer

Great looking bike! I recently got a pair of blue/grey grips off a Trek Lime that look really nice on my wife's Robin Hood, they might work on this one too. http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2009/archive/lime
