    Schwinn banana bike

There's this ad in my area on kijiji. I thought it was a nice bike. What kind of value does it have? http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-bikes-other-i-have-a-orange-60s-style-Schwinn-peddle-bike-for-trade-W0QQAdIdZ391433646

    Cup bearing problem

I have this folding bike that I'm modifying. I want to put a suspension fork on it. It kinda fits and all but the bearing crown from the fork is too big for the bearing cup on the bike's heard tube. What to do?

    Need help with parts

I'm trying to build my 1937 CCM some wheels but I'm not successful with the parts. I'm currently looking for a hub. The catch is the 110mm of the rear and 96mm for the front. I'm trying to avoid cables but the main thing is nothing to rub on the rims. I've looked at a few hubs with coaster to...

    old find: Hercules Kestrel

I found this one last year in the fall I think. I don't even know what year it is but I do know it's seriously beat up. Not sure what to do with it. I took a picture of the SA rear hub in the hope it can tell someone something. I was reading that it's a "Club" version and that it might be from...

    Bicycle books

I'm curious over what book you have read, are reading or plan on reading that pertain bicycles. A recent one of mine was Wheels of Change by Sue Macy.

    sandblasting

I would like to have some hoop sandblasted but I have no experience in the field whatsoever. I have no idea how to find a place to do it. I've phoned a few places and so far I got voice mails and one gal told me my hoops are too big and I should be looking commercial. Any tips on how to find a...

    wheels Q?

Duno what to do!!! I have a 1937 CCM made bike. Wheels needs a cure. Hubs are still good but not sure about the rims. They are pretty rusty. I don't know if I should invest in sand blasting (if they are not too far gone) or just get the hub out of the old stuff and build new ones. I've been...

    furniture score

Went to pick this up today. Some people didn't show up to get it so it became mine. This is the picture that was in the ad. I can't take any at this time because its raining and snowing and I don't want to wreck it. It's in my car for the moment. I'm not sure how old it is. Someone stole the...

    Wheel alternative

I have a 1939 Zenith bike which wheels are in dire need of restoration. I will do it but I'd like to ride the bike in the mean time. The wheels are 28" English. What would be a comparable size to fit the bike? I'm a little bit lost when it comes to wheels. Someone told me either 700c or 29's...

    Not so fresh Hurricane BMX

I got that Baycrest Hurricane kid BMX through the winter. I didn't think much of it so I've put it in the metal scrap pile and forgot about it until today. It must have screamed at me to save it because I did. After a good clean up it look quite good. Now I have no idea of what it's worth to resale.

    Bike flipping season

I had to say that bike flipping season is quite early this year. I started advertising last month and already about 20 bikes sold so far. It's unbelievable. I have been doing this for 3 years now and usually the season's starts in may. No complaining tho. I'm just happy that I can make a little...

    Shuang Ma try out

After fiddling with the bike to get to know how to run it and to actually get it going I was finally able to take it for a spin in my town. It was a lot of fun. I have no idea of the millage I did but I ran out of gas. This bike is definitely too small for me to start with but when the motor is...

    Motorized bike?

I have to decide which way to go for this summer. I was balancing between a moped or a motor for a bike I already have. My car is going, my van is a gas gugler so one of the 2 would same me gas and aggravation. I live in the country with hills and everything is about 15km away. We have this...

    Shock question

I have a set Gila shock I want to put on my foldable. The thing is that when I put the Gila on the angle is really not good for the head tube. If I swing the fork around the angle is fine. I was wondering if there was a way of turning the tubes like put the left into the right and the right into...

    Chinese bike

Without searching for one I became the owner of this Shuangma motorized bicycle. It looks pretty good. Not sure how old it is tho. I was able to get the motor running but there's not much power coming out of it. I will also get the owner's manual soon from the last owner. Apparently it;s all in...

    paint sprayer

I want to start painting my own frame. I know I can use the spray cans but I'm under the impression I can have a better result with a paint sprayer. There's all sort of things available out there and I don't know what to look for. If that can help I have a compressor. What do you recommend and...

    Folder built

I'm starting my very first project. I'm using a Leader Voyageur as my base. The starting bike. I started changing some stuff but I ran into a problem. The head tube angle is not right and I'm not quite sure on how to fix it. I will post some pictures soon of the mock up to show you the problem.
