The reflectors and pedals (with more reflectors) tell me it's a 70's bike. I don't they made a bike like that in the late 80's,could be wrong. It must have been gently used, still having the axle protectors. Cool old Murray.

Re: Commuter Bike
Sharp lightweight, those parts will give it that 50's look. Sears actually had some well made stuff in the 70's, like your bike, but I think it was little known. I remember thinking everything they sold was a Murray.

Try Kano Kroil for rusted, broken fasteners. I've used them all over the years and it's worked best. Try drill ing the fender screw with a smaller size, then run a tap through it.

Respond to his ads, then get a couple of friends together and pay him a visit.I think he'll be willing to return your stuff and not make anymore of it. Know what I mean?
Re: "New" Typhoon Project
Looks in good shape,The 2 speeds rock,I have 3.I'd lose the fenders, install a set of red balloons and flip the h/bars.Gives it a tough look, not too good on the back.

Hey Dingo, That Schwinn stuff looks better parked @ your house than mine LOL! I kinda miss having them,I'm getting better @ keeping good stock. Do you still have the 20" straight bar Schwinn? I'm interested.
