Yessir!
I found two profiles! Can take them for free.
Steel:
700mm long.
51mm × 25,4mm and 2mm wall thickness.
And this one, also steel. Its open on the other end, so a little boxing in for stiffness might be required.
700mm long.
46mm x 35mm and 2.5mm wall thickness.
Both are heavy, but...
I did not find any nice tubing at the local dumpsters unfortunately.
I did came home with a 26inch wheelset. Someone threw a complete bicycle away, it was ugly, but in very good technical condition.
Not rusted, spoke tension is good. No wobbles...
This afternoon I will look in another...
Thanks! Appreciate that.
Its extra powerful when you discover that for your self.
The bicycle Manufacturer Azor makes very high quality bikes and their frames have a zinc coating underneath the powdercoat. I believe people can use a pressurized cleaner
Thanks Kingfish, I immediately searched...
Hi guys, I wanted to post some ideas that I have regarding tubing.
The cheapest is of course finding a good square profile (down tube) and something for the top tube in the dumpster.
The next idea is to buy some tubing (CrMo) and building the frame with that. I have this great double barrel...
A Gazelle front sprocket! U selling?
I enjoy the sightings so far @LeMad Hatter and another Evans fork
There is a bike builder on instagram: vitalikkapchinsky who is building a cyberpunk style bicycle. Really like that style and I personally never explored that, so I'll be...
Love how it is a 'normal bike' without the rear shaft. And that 'three sprocketed' freewheels looks great. Great design.
I can imagine you'll be keeping the original spirit alive and I think this will be a great bike, but I think this front wheel modification would look pretty sweet with this...
That Evan fork looks beautiful in its own. Piece of art.
The Beehive fork and the black fork too, gorgeous!
But in my humble opinion it really depends on the rest of the bike in final assembly. The Evan needs a bit more 'balancing', since it looks heavy.
Man, I would love a 'stash tour'
I saw that Pink Panther bike earlier, very nice!
Love your ideas and free spirit so far.
And those black square profile tires :rockout:
Sorry, but Heineken is absolutely 🤮As a Dutch person, I could not leave that alone
Wow, that bike looks really good with those tires. I'm enjoying the progress so far.
That front brake is a band brake I believe? Sturmey Archer? And usually the reaction arm is on the left hand side right?
I know it is a mockup, and I am probably a bit early on that last question ;)
So I pondered on my CAD board design a little bit and decided to go nuts again.
Dropping the fork about 13cm (5 inches).
Now I like the backbone/top tube (or ratneck?) and overall low look of the bike a bit better.
I will go to a steel dumpster tomorrow and see if anything is there...
