I still know nothing about this old bike obsession except that I like it. The riding is good for me and the bikes are cool. I probably overpayed for a lot of my bikes in the short time I've been involved but I also believe that if you really want it and enjoy it it's worth it. I'm not in it for the money I'm in it because I love these old things.
Here's my latest, a Hawthorne, that the only thing I know about it is I like the looks of it and I'm sure I'll enjoy riding the wheels off of it. I have no idea if it's all original or a pieced together 'frankenbike'.

That's an awesome bike. Is that a mechanical or electric horn? Made by Cleveland Welding Company, 1953 I believe.
 
It's an electric horn, looks like it takes a 6 volt lantern battery. I'll go buy on this afternoon and see if I can make the horn work.
