It is either a nice one, or, more likely, a very nice one! And I'd say it'll cost lots!

I found it - it is an Elgin Bluebird, and yeah - lots!

I do love that bike!

Check out this resto:
http://www.garysrestorations.com/1935-elgin-bluebird
"The Elgin Bluebird is considered the premier prewar collectors bike because of its unique art deco styling, frame design and rarity. Elgin produced about 4000 of these bikes from 1935 to 1937 and they sold for a cost of $52. This was about two months salary for the average worker if you were lucky enough to have a job during the Great Depression. There are about 25 restored Bluebirds known to exist today."
"(It) was granted a patent from the U.S. Patent Office for its unique frame design – one of the few bikes to receive such a patent in the 1930’s."

Apparently all I’m going to have to spend is $17,250!

The extra long stays, the curve of the downtube and seatpost, the sheet metal, so much magnificent design... I'll probably never even get to see one. Wonder how they ride...
