I only have the non drive side. I think it is a very old cottered crank. The pedal is attached with a nut and bolt and the crank arm length is adjustable. I want to keep it for a display piece but I don't really know anything about it. Anyone have any knowledge of this kind of cottered crank? It's nickel pleated.

One of my collector buddies has an original big wheeler. Thanks for the thought, I will take it to compare it with his cranks. This never occurred to me.
It is very similar to the big wheel crank on my buddies bike which has a bolt on pedal and adjustable length crank. The big wheel crank arms are not cottered but use a different system. The guy with the big wheeler thinks my crank arm and pedal are from around 1900.
 
There's a lot of people who are into these very early bikes and parts on the CABE. You can give them a try also, if you don't find your answer.
