Hey y'all, so I'm new to his bike fixin' thing and I need some help identifying my bike. The serial number is either D7C1536 or D1C1536. My vision is off... Anyways, it also says "Huffy" on it. I believe that it is a Wester Flyer, but I would like more depth to the identification.

Your bicycle was made by the Westfield Company. Judging by the matching paint chain guard and the slots in the fenders that are there to secure missing sheet metal skirt guards, I believe the bike was originally branded for sales by Sears as an Elgin. The serial number will date the bike and that can be done using the Mr Columbia serial numbers list. The fact that you have reported a serial number with two letters leads me to believe the “C” portion is the Westfield year code, which stands for 1938. The “D” is part of a second code stamped on most of these bikes at that time.
