This is the original fork. I wish I had the picture of the back of the truck that this bike was in when I first saw it. All the pieces strewn about with a spare tire, Jack stands and such. I was like dam, what a shame. The kid needed the money so he showed me how was there and asked me to make an offer. So I offered $60 and he took it.

the forks were wasted, Joel Romeo hooked me up with a replacement fork he fabbed up. The Slowspokes group out of DFW are great folks!

this was the first mock up, I was trying to find a style or look I liked. 26" MTB wheels and tires.

I was still thinking of a rusteration in these pics. Also trying some cruiser bars. This is the original seat in these pics, I still have it but getting it fixed up is taking longer than I hoped.

The tanks had bad rust in spots that resulted in 1/16 inch sized holes that I eventually patched with Epoxy before the Bondo work.

the head light was first mounted in a hole that was already in the fender so went with it at first. The straps around the tanks, I wanted an old vibe like I remember guys using belts to latch the hoods down on old racecars. They really help keep the tank halves in place within having to tighten the crap outa the two screws that hold the tank together. Still not happy with the look in these pics.
