Since I've noticed more voters are in a sharing mood, I figured I'd unveil the builds that I voted for in no particular order:

Firewing
Full View
Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez

There also were a few other builds that if allowed I would've voted for them as well:

Southern Flyer
Remix
Western ƒlyer Šuper

I thoroughly enjoyed checking out all of the bikes in this year's build off :D !

Thank you very much for honoring Firewing with one of your votes my friend!! It was great to have you join us in the Build Off with Laid Back Assassin. I still want to see you finish that wicked build!!!!

hello. these bikes are all awesome. there are some talented builders on here. my votes were. firewing, last ditch effort, southern flyer. cant pick the order though. like them all equally.

Thanks for the vote, I do appreciate it! :)

I think it interesting how some bikes seem to be based on other bikes from past years maybe as a starting point for inspiration but enhance it to make it better.

The same way that car design and modification has evolved over the years.

This year seems more diverse than some previous years, in style (a few years ago we had a B/O that seemed to be 90% board trackers) and substance. I think splitting off the Anything Goes entries benefitted the diversity in the Traditional group, allowing the Traditionals to be more about style and less about engineering exercises.

Well said! Love the style of many of the bikes...

(Soapbox warning -- The disappointing attitude of a couple of people has been bugging me, and I have to get this off my chest.)

I have to say...I didn't build this bike for the votes. They're nice, they're icing on the cake, but that's all. My son and I built the bike we would've built anyway. We happened to fall into a bike project during the build-off and I thought it'd be fun to join in. I'm glad we did, the support and advice were awesome -- the machine-gun forks came directly from kingfish and made the bike better. But...I know that while our bike is cool and my son loves it, the current leaders are on a whole 'nother plane from us in terms of workmanship and style. And I'm fine with that. I don't understand the people that aren't.

I had fun, and I had a chance to do something with my son, and I hope to be in more build-offs. And if I get no votes in them it still won't take away the fun I have building stuff, and the camaraderie of a group of people all working toward the same goal and the same deadline. I join in NaNoWriMo every November, and torture myself to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days...and there's no prize, no voting and no winners -- I take that back; EVERYBODY who finishes is declared a "winner." It's a competition against myself, and having a deadline spurs me to be more creative than if I were just picking away at it.

RRBBO is the same. If you took away the votes, and took away the prizes, and gave everyone who finished a little "congratulations" clip-art and that's it...I would still join. If I wanted votes, I'd go into politics.

Thanks. Sorry. Soapbox over.

CAN WE GET THAT RIBBON ON A T-SHIRT!!
Sounds like a good idea. Maybe Rat Rod could send one out to everyone, just kidding.

Thank you guys so much for your concerns and sympathy regarding my personal crisis…I really appreciate it. You guys are the best! Winning the build off really doesn’t matter to me. Personally I’ve already won, just knowing there’s a great family of guys out there whose sincerity and well wishes outshine the bikes that they work on and build.

Thanks for the comments guys, I know that New Wave is not everyone's cup of tea, but my wife loves it and since she never got her Lucy bike done,I think she just claimed it.
Win or loose ,I will be here every year
Count me in with your wife! I voted for New Wave but it didn't go through for some reason (pardon my puter geekness  ). I was bummed that I couldn't go back and correct this but another bike got my vote, that mystery 1 out of the 3 lol, but I'm sure he's happy lol! Anyway, I think you did an awesome job and here's my informal vote for New Wave! Love it!
