13th Mental Breakdown is close to finished but it's not the 31st yet so there's still time.[IMG]

Had a house full this last weekend.

My New experiment with aliuminum solder and alloys.

Wouldn't knock apart. Will shape and fill. A spare will be in the backpack for the first few rides, just in case.

Will be 32t up front, with these blue Rock Bros pedals

I like those pedals, they'd look good on my bike...

They were on sale on Amazon when I was looking for some 3-bearing Fooker brand pedals.

RockBros MTB Mountain Bike Pedals... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGTTC4C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

So many to choose from. These Looked like a better deal so I grabbed them. I wouldn't be offended if you grabbed a set too. High quality.

Took a few minutes at lunch and smoothed a few things out.

Sprayed a little paint and a little more. I'm sure three are Yellow-green pollen under the clear.

Added shifter. Need to find cables and ends.

Hmm, a handlebar mount attached to the sissy. Taillights and shifter mounted to it. Nice. You're going to need a long cable, maybe even 8 inches. :giggle:

I'm done. I got back from vacation yesterday and this morning I chipped the ice out of the floor of my shop so I could get to the attic stairs. Got up in the attic, opened the hoist door to let in light and took these pictures of the finished bike. This is my 1960s hiking trail and two track bike, but like Lincoln's Hammer all the parts have been replaced so many times that nothing is original. It's a nostalgia piece. IMG_1325.JPG IMG_1327.JPG

At this point, I expect that this event will be yet another DNF for me. BUT, I made some real progress, which is better than what usually happens. The fact the I've managed to get wheels fitted to it is a minor miracle in itself. The ride will get done...eventually.

I'm declaring a DNF. I had a paint malfunction this week that set me back a few days + I'm working all weekend. I'll continue in the build section.

3 days left, remember on March 31st post a final voting picture with the caption "I'm done." 3-31-19 midnight central standard time is the cutoff...

This is where I'm at. Life got busy and I didn't find a headbadge or something more inspired to use for a seat. I will probably just hang a chain on it and call it done unless I have some sort of brilliant inspiration in the next 24 hours.

I actually think it will make a great little scoot to throw in the trunk of a car on short notice. I definitely see myself running it at our Thursday night Retro-Rides and as a pit bike at the Carlisle swap meets...

I'm done, ready for voting. Here it is. I guess I'll call it "1960s Style Camping Bike"
