OK well couldn't be happier with how the painting went, I used a tripple glaze clear from Home Depot, 1st time using it and .... it lays wet. Also ordered the wheels and tires, went with 26x2 anodized red with black spokes with a sturmey archer 2 speed kick back hub and 3" white wall Duro Beachbum tires. Looking forward to feedback!

Before the clear I speckled on some black, grey, and red to add some detail when looking close.....

We've got tons of time left...
Any awesome super detailing in mind? Unique pieces push a good build into an over the top great build.

Carl.

I think it’s looks awesome as it is. The wide red rims with the FAT whitewalls would be what puts it over the top for me. Then again, I’m not much for ‘over accessorizing’.

Today I did the seat..... took an old Mesinger seat I had, pealed the leather/rubber whatever it is and padding off and drilled out the mount, then took a newer Huffy springer seat and cut/broke out the springer and bolted them together, Couldent be happier with how it came out, I feel like its better for this Patina look then the brand new Velo style springer I had for it.

Ah but seats gotta do TWO things...
1. look cool
2. be comfy

So how's it feel sitting on it?
If it ain't comfy, ya ain't gonna wanna ride it...

Welp Carl, you are 100% correct! And heres my anal process.........
If you see the 1st pic I posted in the thread, (thats my buddy Paul) holding the Mesinger seat for a mockup of the seat placement being that the seatpost will not be adjustable. We used an old seat I had laying around.
Then I bought a Velo style seat, Very comfortable BUT we speced it with the old seat that sat about 3 inches lower and that made the bike too tall for me being im 5"6'......

SO that seat got put aside and I ordered a ride-able replica wich has long low rails to leave alot of room for adjustment, but to me it looked well.....just toooooo big, so that got put aside........

Ill have to pop it back on one day to see what all you guys think about how It looks, the seat is HUGE to me lol, and I found myself remembering how perfect that old Mesinger seat felt, the height and placement was taylored to me and welded in place!! For being a old padded seat pan style seat, it was surprisingly comfee....... BUT I had my heart set on some springs, and well If that old seat had some spring to it......It would be perfect, so my brain started chuggin and and I merged in the huffy springer and well, its 100% more comfortable then the "Ride-able Replica" .....yet not quite the comfort of the Velo seat, but well If I can barely reach the peddles thats even worse...... SO now that old Mesinger seat is 50% more comfortable with the springs and I have that perfect reach, I still cant say until and hour long ride with my bony butt, but the fact that I customized it, and it was the specd seat to begin with.....shes the one! haha

Also.....Side note update, tracking says wheels are being delivered today! Tires and tubes to follow in a few days!

I'm right there with ya, them long hairpin seats seem like they'd be cool. But I've yet to see a bike that they made look better. The other thing I see a lot is the seat tilted back with the front pointing up in the air. What's that all about? That really looks weird. Yours looks good bro, glad it's comfy. Cuz in the long run, riding these bad boys is what it's about.

Carl.

This is looking good

Agreed! It was my 1st time ordering a hairpin seat and well, once I got it in hand I felt like I was putting a banana seat on a tricycle lol just BIG, cant tell in pics on ordering. and the whole seat pointed up thing? Def dont get it, if the seat is pointed like that for me, if pushes on my prostate or something and sends my willy numb ....
