Tank for 63 American

Hey guys, this is gonna sound like a silly question here goes, I have a 63 American that I would like to put a tank on will any schwinn cantilever tank fit it or are they model specific. Help me out I think the bike would look sharp with one on it.

This year and model would have tabs underneath the top tube for the Schwinn Slimline tank. Here's a '63 American I just picked up with the correct tank. A standard cantilever should fit as well as long as the tabs don't interfere with the canti mounting.

With a welder anything can be done. Or make a clamp on tab to hang it off of. Other than the mounting tabs I think it should fit okay, might need a little tweaking to get it to sit just right.
