Hi guys, it's good to be back. I've missed Rat Rod Bikes a lot!

I'm going to finish my old RRBBOIII bike: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7492 .It's stripped down, waiting for paint.

Parts have been sitting on the shelf since June 08! I hope I can remember where everything goes... ;-)

Re: Swedish Air Force bike

There's a second chance buildoff that just started here.

Welcome back. It is always fun to watch you build with your creativity.

There has been some major infractions of the "Hugo Code" recently. They are even broadcasting it on TV.

Re: Swedish Air Force bike

Welcome back Hugo . Strange frame. I have never seen one with no rake on the front neck. Looks kinda strange.

Re: Swedish Air Force bike

Thanks guys! cman, there should be a reality-tv show about one of our buid-offs. Now that would be good tv!

Uncle Stretch, the frame is pretty normal, it just looks weird on that photo.

I scraped off most of the paint with a knife (it was pretty flakey), wich was followed by a less-than-thorough sanding (ei, it's a rat bike!).

Battle damage! Big dent on the down tube.

Parts in precarious balance dry faster.

Teaser shot!

Assembly is progressing nicely. The kickstand was cause for some head-scratching but I figured out that, if I assembled the crank before the kickstand, it would then give me leverage to compress the spring. The crank bearings and headset bearings are worn out but I overhauled them and they should be ok for some low mileage. Not too sure about the vintage tires, though...

Done! Before...

... and after. I can use the camo net to turn it into an.... INVISIBLE BIKE! :)

Category 5 paint job: looks good from 5 feet away. :)

I tried to use the original fasteners because they give the bike a weathered look, and they match the rusty chrome.

Chrome-o-flage (r), baby!

Worst apolstery job ever. I just tied all the loose ends in a knot under the seat. Surprisingly, it works and looks good.

This was a ultra low budget build, it just needed a pair of grips and paint. Now that it's out of my system, I can move on to fry bigger fish.

Hey Hugo if your going fishing I want to go..... The bike did have rake. Guess I'm loosing my eyesight in my old age. looks good.
