The paint made all of the difference for sure.

Thanks man. I have to say laying out the paint scheme with the tape was very fun. Especially on the guard and rack, trying to look at the lines of them and figuring out how to layout some scallops that flowed right with the piece. The vertical two tone turned out pretty cool too. I don't think I took and finished pics that showed that off. The main reason I did that was to enhance the twin tubes top and and bottom.

This pic, partially shows it. I'll have to pull it out in the daylight tomorrow and take some paint detail pics.

This weekend I pulled SteamRoller out to compare it with VerBoten.
5 Years Later.
Two Twin Bar frames.
Two 1st Place Wins

Same Elgin Twin Bar frames, but to me the similarities end there. This was fun. I moved the bikes to lane for better pics after this.

I love these two pics looking through each frame.

And the final bit of fun was to compare detail pics of different areas

Okay, I'll "just say it" too.

Multiple times now, in various places here on RRB and elsewhere on social media, the SECOND place bike builder has implied in various ways that his build should have won. Even trying to tie it to Facebook "Likes" and "Shares" and Instagram "Likes".

I am not a fan of sore losers, no matter how cool their builds are. This is the RRB Forum and my SteamRoller build has already won the RRB Electoral College vote. The perceived popular vote of Facebook and Instagram is irrelevant.

His build could have won and I've never said otherwise. But the fact remains it lost out by an 8% margin. NUFF SAID!

WOW now your getting political. No sore looser here. But I’ll go with the popular vote. More than one way to look at everything. Read what I said “could have” and you do have a big following. Some people like shine, some like crust I guess.
I never posted the build picture to the Rat Rod Bike’s Facebook page nor the instagram page, so chill.
