Ive been looking at some steampunk looking bikes and I am a big fan of steampunk.

That being said I wouldnt mind owning a steampunk bike. My younger brothers a plumber so i feel i can get neat stuff from him l to help this build too.

I got this bike last year and wanna feep it but dont wanna ride it as it would look so Ive been wondering what to do with it. then I noticed its build off times! so I shall enter this bike in the buildoff. In the end im not sure if Ill be able to call it "steamjunk" because it may be nothing of the sort lol.

Good luck!!! Steam is tough to pull off! Diesel is much easier....
Can't wait to see what mechanical mayhem you bring to the show!

I have a pretty wack imagination for this stuff so im sure it will be interesting. plus I have lots of cheap/free resources to use thanks to my brother. lol though ill have to make some trips to thrift stores to find select neat items most likely. Today will be tear down day.

Looking at all the other steam builds and such I feel Black will be the main frame color, well. most of it. there shall also be brass and copper.

As the day ends so does this bikes lame worthless life. Because he has a new reporn life just around the corner.

I also figure i may use this sturmey archer 3 speed/dynohub combo wheel I had laying around. might also out a front one on aswell. More lights plz!

No idea. there was no name. i tried looking it up but nothing. I also collected some brass and copper bits today

So I started on the painting. heres the current state of it. around the lug work and seems it will have some white. wich I havnt put yet. I was gonna make a custom springer fork for it but i decided Its not needed right now. Id prefer making a neat suicide brake system insted. And I think I may make it a banana seat bike. I think it would look neat.

Your handlebars are awesome! Where's the fork?

Good luck, Rg

I was actualy gonna use a pair of forks as bars at one poinyt. bent them and bolt a flat pair of bards at dropouts. but I have premade apehangers available so ill use those and alter them. lol

Todays progress! Hmm odd this bike has two rear wheels... Wonder whats up with that.

It will be neat. once the base bike is assembled some ill start the plans of adding the parts that will make the bike. I priced some copper and brass today, not as bad as id thought it would be. Gotta find some copper sheeting so I can make my tank. Copper tank. Brass manifolds! lol

Played around with the bike again for abit today. Assembled the coaster brake however i could get it togeather with whatever I could find. lol The handle itself will change abit but I kinda like the other stuff. ill just make it more pretty and stuff.

It actualy does work, but with adding my gear system it is now in the way of the shifter. no matter! I knew this would happen! it calls for some pipework!.

So with that being said the bike is ridable as it sits. So I rode it around to see how I liked it. Its a go. so ill now start fitting it with its accessorys and such.

Heres the current look.

How's this coming along ? o_O

I love steampunkery and that coaster brake with the lever is so cool. :113:

Hope it crosses the finish line.

Glen.
