go this one at a local Volkswagen show a few weeks ago. needed new cables and housing and tubes/tires. . . . . so this is it after fixing all of that. im leaving it as is.

That sure is a sweet looking folder! I like the tubular frame with integrated rack! AND the color! Nice little score dude!

I bought one last year.
1: not a folder. It dis-assembles but there is no hinge. It's quite awkward to reassemble so I changed out the wing bolts for hex bolts to discourage anyone from trying that again.
2: totally over geared. I first tried a larger cog but the chain rubbed on the top of the chain guard. So I went with a smaller front sprocket.
3: changed out the shifter to a bar mounted normal 3 speed trigger. The lever on the seat tube is rather hard to reach while riding. Besides, that cool shifter would look better on other bikes.
4: added a milk crate on the rear rack for hauling groceries.
Mine has a front clamp rack, just right for a 12 pack.
Met a guy riding one on Ragbrai this summer. macho!
