Sears Spaceliner Clear Coat

Can anyone hint me in the right direction on how to get the clear off a Spaceliner bike?
I have been using 0000 Steel wool which it is slowly, slowly coming off.

Any other good ways?

I used a mix of steel wool and even razor blades to get the coating off of Flex-Liner 7. I don't think there is an "easy" way. Just stick with it.

Brass wire wheel, wd-40 Airtools.....worked for me

if you have the bike stripped down, try Rustoleum Clear Coat Remover. it's in a spray can. Your local auto parts store should carry it.

I'm faced with the same challenge on my 'Spaceliner Convertible' project.
I'm planning to try soda blasting. Not sure when I'll do it, but I'll post the results when I do.

I've heard a few using oven cleaner, though I've not tried it.

Dang, that came out nice!
After trying several methods, I had the most success using the razor blade method on my Spaceliner. It was time consuming though!

Long sleeve rubber gloves, Chore Boy Ultimate Scrubber, and acetone worked well for me.Allow a little time for the acetone to soften the clear coat.
