December 21, 1936 Life magazine had an article in it that 10 million Americans were tattooed. there are an estimated 40 million that are tattooed now so it was actually more prevalent. back then
I wonder how Many of the 30 Million Since ,
are Lower Back tatties on Chic's
about 16 million too many lol
I know hundreds of artists and they all hate them anymore
its an inside joke in the community
My Girlfriend had a Celtic Knotted Diamond done in
Venice Beach California in 1991.
It's only about the size of a Silver Dollar.
It was definatly Unique then.....THEN!
I'm inked on one shoulder and soon both. A great skull with a sparkplug stuck in the top and crossed wrenches. It's a rat-rod tat, for sure. The only male equivalent to the "tramp stamp" on the lower back is the barbed wire around the upper arm. Was cool once, but, uh......
No offense to those with either
Hooch - great pic. Now 'shop yourself into the classic photo of Einstein on his bike!
