I thought you scale modelers would be interested in seeing this project that my friend Dan is doing.

He decided a few weeks ago to build every Mayberry squad car that appeared on the Andy Griffith Show throughout the series. So far the first one and the second that he just started has posed a problem in that the four door versions do not exist. He has been forced to convert two door models into four doors along with having to make other parts as well such as door handles, hub caps, search lights, etc.


Here's the first one that he just completed.

The coolest part of his quest (in my opinion) is his idea of making the cars from the early black and white TV series in gray scale and the later cars in color. This is a color photo!

Ian, @ifitsfreeitsforme , when you jump in, you jump in with both feet! Your little Citroen car is getting cooler by the comments! Your color choice is perfect. Can't wait to see the 'headlights' on it, and oh heck, you've got 11 more days, keep chucking bling on that thing! And those flat bed conversions, what a great way to pose other car creations.

Side project #15... last year my four year old daughter asked Santa for a pink tow truck. I couldn’t find one so I painted a Hotwheels for her.

This year she said she wants a pink car. So I’m painting a Corvette for her I found at supermarket.

And now that our son is three, he wants in on the action too, so he wants a car of his favorite color. Lucky Santa’s elf (me), the market had an orange car.

Dra-Hag-ster aka Motorhead Momma Final Foto Post

Here is my kit bash final photo post. I blended two kits together, the Drag Hag by Hawk, Co Weird oHs models series from the '60s, and my '32 Ford by Revell.

My Rat Fink model that I put together around 17 yrs ago, also made the scene. Like, dig?
