Can someone explain the purpose of a fan page? Is it just so fans of that fan page can find friends with that similar interest?
If something is posted to a fan page does it not show up on your Facebook page wall?

If someone becomes a fan of a particular Facebook group, that person should receive updates from that group when they are posted.

So if I post something on the RRB group page and you are a fan of it, my post will show up on your wall.

Just a way to stay up to speed with whatever that group is posting.

Ahh I just figured out what I did wrong. A while back I created what I thought was a fan page for the Coasters but it was instead a Group. Now that I've created a Page it's working as I thought it would. Now just to get everyone from the group to become a fan of the page.
