ok so i decided to go urban a bit and build a fixie out of a wrecked Panasonic 10 speed
the bikes skeleton is strong but heavily scraped
so painting is in order

darn forgot to check that lol
it looks OK though
if not i can chop the dropouts and do a swap
thanks for the heads up never thought bout checking the drops
thanks
sean

definitely
yeah it should be OK with the drops if not i can make it work
im thinking of rat-rod/fixie with it do a flat grey paint-job or flat red
that kinda thing possibly a fire engine red with black components
somthing that screams urban assault with rat rod touch to it
i have some mustache style bars im gonna flip over and give it a low stance
i was thinking of a 26 inch front wheel and 27 rear as well if i can make it work
we will see what i come up with
sean

drops are good their not track dropouts but their straight and have plenty of room for chain play
teardown begins this afternoon and then cleaning and prep for painting
the best time when you realize its finally happening lol
ore pics soon
thanks
Sean

aww sweet build
yeah that's kinda the idea i got
but i haven't done the full design yet im still working out the kinks
i like that red and black look its sweet combining fixie hipster style with rat-rod roots
good job on it
thanks for sharing

thanks, I was going with a Darth Vader themed color pallet with leaving a little chrome and having the blue brake cable. I'm probably going to get a Vader head pinstriped on the head tube and trying to find one of those old school wall mount flashlight clips for a lightsaber (yeah, total nerd). It rides really good but having a hard time getting the brake dialed in.

well here is what i got atm
bars are vintage huffy bars that look kinda cool
seat is messenger 1970
i haven't removed the gears yet but i dod sand some of he rough spots since the pic
once i get my flip flop wheel ill begin the final assembly and see what i got before paint
im pretty happy so far Ive ridden it as is its comfy and gets good speed
should be a good fixie when done
thanks for all the pics it really helped me achieve what i was looking for
more pics of the finished bike soon
thanks for looking
Sean
