I started this build because my 8 year old was outgrowing his 20" BMX style Specialized. We had this bike for a while, but it was so heavy that he almost couldn't and surly didn't like to ride it.

Now its setup for him, and 8 pounds lighter!

Short ride video:

List of mods:

Specialized Ground Control 20x4 tires
Drilled and Paint Stripped rims
Alloy front hub
Widened Deore rear hub
36 hole wheels laced with 24 spokes

Alloy chainring bolts

8 Speed Shimano rapid fire shifter
Deore XT rear derailer
Custom 11-42 8 speed cassette
9 speed chain

Avid BB7 front brake
Avid BB5 rear brake
Magura Wave brake rotors

Alloy Stem
Alloy 3 speed style handlebar

Again, well done! Love the phat fatty. And the effect the rim holes give off is sweet!

Thanks Bike Bum! Most of our furniture is MCM. I like your Panel Truck too!

Very cool. Yup I'm all about MCM too. cherrydeuce on here has the same Heywood Wakefield wishbone kitchen table and chairs. The panel truck in my profile pic belongs to a hot rod artist friend, Tony Squindo. Look him up, he has some really crazy artwork.
