Old rusty Elgin skylark

Just picked this old rust bucket up. It is an Elgin skylark only thing missing is the front fender and light. Looks awesome hanging from the ceiling. With no wheels like like it is flying . Here is a pic with it pieced together on the floor.

The lines on that are beautiful. Was the Skylark the girl's version of the Bluebird? It shares several design elements.

Yes the skylark is the top of the line girls bike. Has the some elements as a bluebird and a robin.

Is that a 26"? That looks wild! Are you going to restore it, or... better yet... use those cool parts on a build off bike?

I'm going to restore it or sell it. Not sure yet.

Restore it! You don't find those very often. Looks solid from a view from my phone. It's a beauty. Bring it back to life!

Only bad part on this bike is water got into the fork and froze and split the tubing in two spots but is an easy fix.

...And the basically impossible to find front fender! Then again, Chestnut Hollow probably has a pile of them... for a premium price! :roll: -Adam
