Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm planning to ignore new forum membership requests while the build off voting is live.

Good idea for keeping it legit, but not so good for recruiting new members.

I wonder if there is a way to allow new members but with a one week moratorium on voting?

I would love if the forum had a "Introduce yourself" rule before other posts or voting, but also understand there are other forces at work I don't know...

My membership just got approved. This is my first post. I promise not to vote. It's a good thing, cuz I can't choose. Warbonnet? El Chiggens? X fifty whatever Sphinx? Streamliner? Volo? No way I can decide. The level of skills on display here has blown my mind. I'll just sit quietly in my corner until the dust settles and a champion is revealed!

PS I'm a member on another motorcycle forum, where they have limits on noobs: no links or pictures allowed until you have five posts under your belt. It's to prevent spammers and bots, maybe there are similar settings that could be used for BO voting.
