My first road bike...

1977 Sears and Roebuck Free Spirit. Bought it cheap at a Thrift Store and was going to use the frame and fork to build a fixie but it is really to nice a bike to do that. The more I ride it the more I love it.

I can see why you don't want to dismantle it to make a fixie. Everything is in such great condition.
A fixie can be made from a real beater bike since you will be changing the wheels and most components anyway.

Yeah...I bought a frame off ebay to do me a fixie. Gonna start as soon as I'm through with the cruiser I'm doing now. Just gonna ride the Spirit and enjoy it. :wink:
