I did the No Rules Mountain Bike Club's 2013 Badasslon this year. It's a real fun race. It involves having to shoot a balloon with a BB gun to start the race, then having to shoot small clay targets for the next four laps. You can't start the race until your balloon is popped, and you have to do a penalty lap in a field before entering back into the woods course if you miss your clay targets.

My buddy won the race this year again (won it last year too). He won it on a single speed using a Daisy Red Rider.

Looking forward to doing it again next year when I'll be better prepared. The rules were tricky, and having never done anything like this before, there is a few things I can improve on.
 
No rules. Pump, co2, scope, no scope, sidearms all good.
Pellets allowed too.
 
Awesome idea. I always try to catch the biathlon in the winter olympics.
