Does anybody know how I can or where I can ID my Monark using the serial and models numbers found on the BB badge? Is there a data base somewhere?

There is a list from 1934-54 in the book "Newsletter By John, An Introduction to Classic Bicycles" on p171. I picked up my copy on ebay, but it's not easy to find. Post the serial and I'll look it up for you. -Adam

Rust sorry too waaaay long to get back to you. I lost the numbers for bikes, then I forgot about this post and I just remembered now. I had a total of five Monark and Firestone bikes, but not only have two and someone sandblasted the numbers off of one. I did find one other one but bike is gone now.
Here is what I have,
Model: 4108
Serial: A05200856

The other bike is
Model: 180 8 9A31
Serial: A0462203

No problem Brochacho! The second # is 1948. But the first is a bit of a head scratcher. The last recorded 1954 # is 1911106. Also the last year for the aluminum ID plate. They went to all middleweights for 1955. If we discount that 5, 200856 would be 1946. -Adam
