Did you use Rustoleum for all 3 paints? That 2x shoots very well - I've used dozens of cans on the interior of my travel trailer during the restore. And thanks for the tip on the orange peel. I've got at least 2 of those to do.

All the parts are cleaned and polished. Only thing left to do before getting the frame, fork and chainguard back from the powdercoater, is to refurbish the shifter ball.

You're parts came out nice. What do you use for rust?

Yes, the frame, forks and chainguard are finally finished and I can start the final assembly. Probably won't get started on it till Monday, but we'll see!

Ended up having almost 2 hours free time tonight. Put it to good use and made a little headway on the Fastback!

Always up for some 'travel trailer restore' pics....

The fast black fastback.. I take it your familiar with Schwinns awsome how fast your able assemble when ur not scratching your head trying figure out what goes where... I think I'm scratching a bald spot from my own wondering.

I ended up having a few more hours today to finish this bike. I'm so glad to have finally put this one back on the road. It's not perfect, but it turned out exactly as I saw it in my mind. It reminds me of when I was a kid and would be out riding bikes with my neighbor, who rode a black 67 like this. Maybe next MBBO I'll finally start on the December 69 Cotton Picker that's been in pieces for 7 years now.

I think I could put Schwinns together with my eyes closed. I'm 60 and I've been ripping tearing and building Schwinns for 50 years. Just love'em!

Looking sweet! You're making me feel a little guilty for modding my Fastbacks.
I wouldn't be too concerned. We both take clapped out Fastbacks and make them well again. We just go in different directions. I like what you do with them. Very cool.
