While working on my Vista Torino 500 in the build off, forum member KJV posted pics of a Torino 300 he saw at a swap meet. He was kind enough to pick it up for me and then also send it. Turned out to be a pretty nice original bike sold by the original owner. Long gone was everything that made it a three speed and the Vista S7 front and rear wheels. I used some Araya wheels from a later Torino. I laced up the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub on the rear. Put caliper brakes and levers back on it. Worked out the fender problem and located the correct shifter for it. It rides nice and solid and I love the brown color. uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161106/ d3f0762e3bf3dfeab8693ac46954b681.jpg[/IMG] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
This is great! I think it is my favorite of the three actually, would not have thought I would love a brown bike so much! Luke.
Wow....this one turned out super nice too...a trifecta...don't remember anybody entering 3 bikes before. Great job bringing this beauty back to life. It fell into the right hands for sure.
The first year they used the 20x1 3/4 tires front and rear. Here is a pages for the catalog that has that info. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Since this bike turned up I have been eyeing off the brown metal flake for my little Datsun... Just looks so awesome! Luke.
