I wanted to do a bicycle related time-lapse video but haven't had the chance yet. I made a scooter one, though. Here it is: http://hortadasvespas.blogspot.com/2008 ... strip.html

It was pretty easy to make! All you need is a computer, a webcam, and some software that's simple to use and download.

Step 1: download Timershot (it's at the bottom of the page) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx

Step 2: setup your computer and webcam and get Timershot to take pictures of the action, about once every couple of seconds ( a bit longer, if the action lasts a couple of hours)

Step 3: download JPGVideo http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jpgvideo.html

Step 4: get JPGVideo to process all the pictures into a video file. Done!

If you're going to the shop to work on a bike for a couple of hours, give it a try. It would be cool to see a video of a bike assembly, or of a gathering of bicyclists at a fair or meet. For more info here's a tutorial ( http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/ ... otography/ ) and the Wikipedia page ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_lapse ). Show your results here!
