I wanted to try my GPS on my cruiser. The mounts I found on the 'Net for a TomTom unit didn't get the best reviews. I built a mount using two peices of 1/8" aluminum. I sandwiched the factory suction cup mount between them by cutting a hole in the center of the top peice. I bolted it in the corners. I'm going to get some bolts that don't protrude so far. The brackets are for hanging conduit. I padded them with felt.

Thanks, I don't plan to leave it on all the time. I was curious about what a 53 year old guy in relatively good shape could get a single speed up to in MPH. So far on our flat FL roads I can hit 18 MPH briefly giving it all I've got.
